Ash Class February News

Ash Class have been learning about the Judeo/Christian story of creation. They retold the story in sequence, using a story wheel. Dylan painted his own wheel, in a resourceful adaptation of the original activity. Well done, Dylan!
Reception children have been counting and manipulating numbers up to 15. Nursery children have been practising recognising groups and patterns of numbers ( for example by matching groups or objects to the pattern formation on dice).
In maths, children have been counting pennies and using them to buy produce in their shop and to buy bus tickets they have made. On Tuesday, we celebrated pancake day (one week early, as Shrove Tuesday falls within half term week, this year). On Wednesday and Thursday, we continued to study customs and traditions by listening to the story of New Year and acting it out. On Friday, we made Valentine Day cards!
