We have had a busy time in school marking important occasions. The whole school came together for two minutes' silence on the playground on 11th November as part of Remembrance Day. We all wore our poppies in school and had a special collective worship time. Anti-Bullying Week followed the week after. We invited Paralympic wheelchair tennis player Louise Hunt to our school for the day. She shared her inspirational life story and the many challenges she has faced. Then we took part in tennis sessions with her where we learned new skills. She helped us focus on our school values of curiosity to try new things and courage which is something she has shown throughout her life. read more
We were very pleased to welcome the Bishop of Bedford to our school. Bishop Richard works across the Diocese of St Albans and is the Chair of the Diocesan Schools' Board. Bishop Richard enjoyed a tour of the school to visit classes and see our children's learning in action. He also joined us for colletive worship where he spoke about what it's like to vbe a bishop and answered our questions. We sang our harvest songs.... read more
