It has been another fantastic month in Pine class.
In English, we have been reading ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ by Roald Dahl. The children have completed different writing activities based on the story. After half term, we will be planning and writing our very own Fantastic Mr Fox stories.
In Maths, we have been learning to measure capacity and weight. We have learnt to record measurements and use ‘g’ for grams and ‘ml’ for millilitres. We can now read scales on different measuring equipment.
In history lessons we have continued learning about Victorian seaside holidays. The children have written postcards imaging they went to the seaside in the past. We have included information about what Victorian people did at the beach.
In our science lessons we have set up an investigation to find the best home for a minibeast. We selected different materials and recorded the number of minibeasts found on them after a week.
In music lessons we have had the opportunity to play the ukulele. We understand how to hold the ukulele properly and can follow simple musical directions.
