Our School Council is made up with a representative from each year group from 1-6. Each class holds a democratic vote to elect each child.
Child voice is taken very seriously at Tonwell and we have an active school council.
Their projects have included:
Updating our school behaviour code and marking code
Organsing the vote for our global, national and local charities to support each term
Fundraising events such as non-uniform and cake sales
Organising village fun hunts, such as ice cream and autumn leaves
Setting up our 'House' system' where children are split into four vertical groups with children from Nursery to Year 6. The groups work together every half term on activities such as Anti-Bullying Week and Safer Internet Day.
