KS2 started their swimming lessons at Ware Lido this week. Despite the rain and chilly weather, they all tried their best and started to improve their swimming strokes and learn about water safety. All of our KS2 children enjoyed a first aid workshop with 'Keep A Beat'. They learned about how to treat cuts, burns and head injuries as well as how to make a 999 call. Children all got involved with practical activities wrapping bandages onto each other and acting out emergency situations. They couldn't believe that a burn should be run under cool water for 22 minutes! read more
We have had a busy few weeks in Ash class. The children have loved getting involved in many creative art activities. We used vegetables to make prints using different shapes and colours - it was great fun! Lots of the children in Ash class are interested in dinosaurs so we used salt dough to make our own dinosaurs.
